Marble inlay is a drawing problem before it is a stone problem.

Every commission begins as a cartoon drawn one to one on the atelier floor. Stone is chosen against that drawing rather than from a sample board, cut on the waterjet to a tenth of a millimetre, and closed by hand at the bench until the joint reads as a line rather than a gap.
